Introduction

This is an opportunity for a talented and energetic software development team lead to work in an exciting, developing and challenging IT environment for a well-known brand and dynamic, growing business.

Our client is the nation’s favourite car buying service and with over a million cars purchased they put their customers and their technology at the heart of everything they do. This company is running a number of strategic projects alongside their tactical day-to-day work streams that will not only maintain their double digit business growth but enable further growth.

The Role

This role will suit software developers with experience of team leadership or individuals looking to broaden their horizons and move into a team lead role. The candidate will work with Product Owners and colleagues across IT to develop innovative and exciting solutions that drive our business forward.   • Provide leadership and mentoring to the other developers in the team
  • Participate in technical decision making, design and development of solutions
  • Share experience and knowledge with teams
  • Strive to reduce lead/cycle time and improve quality
  • Work closely with QA’s early in the process to ‘bake in’ quality
  • Develop solutions with a focus on improving business performance whilst minimising risk

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic individual with experience of working in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communicator with good sense of humour
  • Ability to show initiative in solving problems
  • .NET Core, C# & .NET Framework, SOLID design principles
  • ASP.NET MVC & ASP.NET WebApi
  • ORMs (e.g. EntityFramework, NHibernate and LinqToSQL)
  • JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • MSSQL Server
  • Modern version control systems (e.g. Git, SVN, TFVC, Mercurial)
  • Agile software development methodology experience, TDD, Scrum, etc
