Qualifications for Head of Engineering:

• Experienced leader with expertise in Java, Swift, Kotlin, API integrations, and PHP/Laravel
• Proficient in leading DevOps function, prioritizing data security, ensuring platform stability during scaling
• Collaborative approach with other company roles (Product, Compliance, Marketing)
• Strong background in developing and scaling tech solutions in FinTech
• Experience in scaling Engineering teams, tailoring job descriptions, interviews, and selection processes
• Aligns technology with business objectives and user needs, driving innovation with high software development standards
• Keen interest in AI implementation for internal and external purposes

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Engineers, fostering technical excellence and innovation
• Oversee development, testing, and deployment, primarily focusing on Java, Swift, Kotlin, API integrations, and PHP/Laravel
• Scale internal development resources, align engineering strategies with business goals
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance of systems, addressing technical challenges
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, including code reviews, testing, and deployment methodologies
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their impact on the platform and services

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute long-term technology vision
• Build and manage a high-performing Engineering team
• Ensure reliability and robustness of the FinTech platform
• Improve internal infrastructure and systems
• Lead architectural decisions and technology choices
• Manage engineering budget and resource allocation
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team

About You:

• Extensive experience leading engineering teams, preferably in a FinTech startup
• Expertise in Java, Swift, Kotlin, API integrations, and PHP/Laravel
• Track record of developing and scaling high-quality, innovative software solutions
• Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Certifications or special training in Agile methodologies, software architecture, and team leadership are a plus
