Digitalent are excited to be working with an innovative and diverse portfolio business that are a specialist media company, with brands covering News & Information, Data, Technology, Marketing and Communications looking for an IT License and Asset Manager to join them!
 
They collaborate with huge household names across Media, Sport, Corporate, Betting and Public Sector providing a wide range of content, products, and services. Currently investing heavily in upscaling their teams to ensure they continue to deliver world class software solutions across the business following recent acquisitions. Their products include pictures, video, data APIs, graphics and social media curation and anyone new to the business will help ensure they continue to develop the highest quality securing their place in the digital market.

The IT License and Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the licensing and management of software, hardware, and other IT assets within the organisation. The role involves ensuring compliance with software license agreements, optimising asset utilization, and controlling costs associated with IT assets. You will collaborates with various teams, including IT, procurement, legal, and finance, to ensure effective license management and asset tracking.

This is a fantastic chance to join a greenfield operation using your experience to recommend, design and implement policies and workflows to innovate what they currently have. The bulk of the role will focus on licensing and bringing everything together to allow you to report monthly on licensing renewals and make recommendations for cost savings. With a large estate, moving from on prem to cloud you could really make your mark!

The role is offering hybrid - they are flexible, but maybe a couple of days a week in their North Yorks office

• Proven experience in IT license management, software asset management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software licensing models, agreements, and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with IT asset management best practices and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in using asset management tools and software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of IT procurement processes and vendor management is a plus.
