Junior DevOps Engineer

Our client are looking for a DevOps Engineer to be based on-site in either Basingstoke or Bracknell.

Role

• Analysis, development, and maintenance of tailor-made solutions
• Participate and contribute to each step of a project (scope definition, planning, requirements analysis, design, development, documentation, and unit testing)
• Working on strategic projects with milestones, deliverables, and deadlines
• You will be an integral part of a development team
• You will work with the team to ensure a high level of quality and satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of the system and application environment and its configuration (dockers, vm's)
• Caring for the CI / CD of the projects (Jenkins)
• Writing scripts to automate various processes (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Oversee the overall operation of the VMware environment

Requirements

• Scripting knowledge (Python/Bash/PowerShell)
• Knowledge of Linux
• Knowledge of Git, networking, monitoring
• Understanding the importance of security by design
• Knowledge of computer hardware
• Good command of spoken and written English
