Software Engineer

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join a mission-led digital organisation that delivers impactful, scalable products through modern engineering practices. You’ll be embedded in a cross-functional delivery tribe, working on real-world systems that matter.

This is a hands-on engineering role - ideal for someone who enjoys building clean, reliable, and secure software while contributing to technical discussions, innovation, and delivery excellence.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing and building scalable, resilient software using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and cloud-native services (AWS, Lambda, Terraform, Docker)

• Participating in architecture discussions, testing automation, and agile ceremonies

• Maintaining strong test coverage and high code quality (with CI/CD pipelines in place)

• Playing an active role in performance monitoring, incident response, and continuous delivery

• Collaborating across disciplines to drive business value and user impact

• Helping integrate AI-assisted development tools and identifying automation opportunities

What we’re looking for:

• Strong coding experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React

• Familiarity with another language (.NET, Java, etc.) and event-driven or serverless architectures

• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS), containerisation, APIs, and infrastructure as code

• Someone who can communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• A team player who values feedback, mentoring, and continuous improvement
